Wong Ming Yook taught English Literature in the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur till 2005. She published her first collection of short stories in 2014, titled In the Courtyard of the Sun. The Library of Sighs, her second collection of short stories (2015), was nominated for the Popular-The Star Readers’ Choice Awards under Fiction in 2016. Ah Lao and the Paper Men (2016) is her third collection of short stories.
